Six Months With Jimi & The Monkeys

I’ve already introduced the monkeys; Bingo, CousCous, Pepper, Stupid, PatchKit and Cricket but I haven’t said much about the man in my life…
As of 11/02/05 Jimi and I have been together for six months. From our third date on we have been inseparable and our bond just grows stronger with each passing day. I love Jimi because he is smart, driven, funny, supportive, generous in so many ways, honest and so cute.
After our second month together I told him “I’ve been looking for you for so long that it feels like I’ve known you much longer.” This statement couldn’t be any more true.
Together we are repairing our credit, expanding his business and planning mine. We are both volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and look forward to adopting children one day. The Birthday Boy

As of October 10th Lil’ Pepper Seed is 4 months old and counting. At
our last doctors appointment he weighed 8 pounds
and got his long awaited Rabies shot. We are still house-training
and considering that I spoil him so much it hasn’t been
so bad.

In addition to taking care of my dogs I like to eat too. Last night me, Jimi and “Hijo M” got ghettofied and had dinner at Red Lobster in Time Square. The food was what you would expect but the weather was a surprise. When we started our journey it was raining pretty hard but by the time we finished eating a Monsoon had moved in. We were soaked, cold and tired — so much so that I passed out before getting to walk the dogs and they had no choice but to relieve themselves in the living room…
Peppers 1st Bath

Today Pepper had his 1st bath… At almost 4 months old I decided that he is beyond being wiped down with a wet one — if he smells like a big dog he has to bathe like one! At this point he knows what his name is and responds to it, weighs 6.5 pounds and is about 13 inches long. He gets on well with our other dogs and makes us all very happy!
Pepper’s Parasites

Well, little Pepper Seed who is growing bigger, stronger, and wiser every day has passed on his parasites to Bingo and CousCous. Unfortunately puppies and parasites go hand in hand – so I’ve been told. To rid CousCous of these unwanted little squatters Dr. Fisch prescribed Primor 120. Bingo and Pepper will most likely get the same prescription on Friday.

Pepper’s first walk on a leash

Today Pepper got his first leash & harness and he was very eager to try it out… So we had our first family walk at about 2pm this afternoon. The only thing that could have made it better is if Jimi were here to share this moment with. The past three weeks apart have been challenging but he’ll be back soon.

53rd and 9th

Most of the time living at the corner of 53rd and 9th is great but there are certain times when it’s a pain in the ass. Luandry day is stressfull enough witout having to weav in and out of busy streets with 2 big ass bags full of my dirty draws, sheets and things. Walking the dogs around drunk bar hoppers from New Jersey isn’t my idea of relaxing either. Please don’t flick your cigarett butt inches from my person and then proceed to ask me what my dogs names are, how old are they and can you pet them. Just get out my way!! However, meeting Lil Kim while on my evening walk with the dogs a few weeks ago was a pleasure.. She was taken with our almost 2 years old Basenji CousCous and seemed to be in good spirits considering she will have to do jail time soon. Love ya Kim – write a book and come out richer!

Peppers New Bed

I’ve been avoiding giving Pepper anything that requieres cleaning because while he is pretty good about finding his WeeWee pad during the day he still has a few accidents at night but it hurt my heart to see him napping on that WeeWee pad because it’s softer than the floor. Much to my disapointment he thought it was a new chew toy but I pinned it down in the corner of his exercise pen and then he seemed to understand it’s purpose or he was just too tired to keeping tearing at it.

Our first trip to the dog run…

This is a picture of Pepper resting comfortablly under the sun light pouring through our kitchen window. I didn’t get a picture of him at the park because I was to busy trying to make sure he didn’t get into any trouble. It was going really well until one of those fat, slimy, heavy breathing disgusting French Bulldogs jumped off the bench and landed on my Lil Pepper seed. He screamed bloody murder and I would have done the same if it were me. Pepper wasn’t hurt just pissed off. The owner of the ill mannerd bulldog did not appologize…
